About Clare
Clare Ralph Leonty, an artist based in the Isle of Wight, is known for her love of glass and jewellery.
Clare has gained media coverage with her dinosaur bone and Isle of Wight Studio Glass jewellery, with its marriage of silver and fossilized dinosaur pieces found on local beaches, while also aiming producing her own studio glass range.
In addition, she has had sculpture commissioned in stone and glass installations form a large part of her repertoire.
The most recent collaboration is with the Isle of Wight glass studio’s Timothy Harris on a piece titled
Lady of Light.
Constructed with large amounts of melted down uranium glass items, in the form of a torso which reacts under UV light.
